I love this boy.

Evan started batting at toys hanging in front of him. When he lies on his tummy he lifts up his head and does push-ups. He sings along when sung to. His neck bends backward when he's put in his bumbo-style chair so he needs some extra support to sit up. His preferred way of sucking on his pacifier, and the only way he can keep it in his mouth, is with his bottom lip pulled up around the bottom of the pacifier. His arms and legs are less tight than when he was newborn so doing stretches with him is more successful. He loves shopping. The other day at the store he picked out flowers for mom, ice cream for dad, and peaches baby food for himself. When he "ate" the peaches he distorted his face and stuck out his tongue and looked at me like, "What are you doing to me?" Our current struggle is opening up his hands, and especially his thumb, which are usually fisted. I continue to laugh (groan) at the irony that most of the health issues we've been dealing with are not even Spina Bifida related. Take that SB.
