Evan and Seth are becoming much better friends (& enemies). They boss each other, follow each other, laugh at each other, and yell at each other just like you'd expect brothers to do. They still love jumping on the trampoline and doing Hot Wheels, and Seth has now expanded his attention span to be able to sit down and watch a show. They sing and hum songs all the time. They love the Imagine Dragons song, "Believer" and all Primary songs.
A sweet neighbor of ours gave Evan this old bike, and another family from the ward gave us some good training wheels for it. Evan loves riding around the neighborhood. His feet slip off the pedals a bit if he goes too fast, and he's a little unstable going up and down the curbs and around curves, but I think he'll continue to get faster and more confident.
Our favorite Saturday morning past time
"I want to get cozy by Mama." This is what we do when Dada leaves to work in the morning.
Evan adores babies and wants to hold them any chance he gets.
Dr. Evan has been deceived convinced by his patient that back scratches, head rubs, and walking on his back are the best medicine. And, of course, Seth must follow. This is a routine sight at our house.
Halloween: When we went to Utah we searched Grandma's costume box for Halloween ideas. Evan decided to be a dragon for Halloween, a costume my mom made for my brother when he was about Evan's age...probably 25 years ago. We had our own ward trunk-or-treat and then went to the Winters ward trunk-or-treat the next week with Grandma, Sarah, Maya, & Luke. (Isaiah went on a fishing trip with Grandpa that weekend so we needed something to do.) For Halloween night some friends from the ward invited us over for chili & cornbread, Halloween movies, and trick-or-treating in their neighborhood. It was much more fun for the boys to have a little posse of friends. Evan did great trick-or-treating, walking the entire time, as long as there weren't any blow up characters at the house--in which case he would not go. Seth needed to be carried a little bit to keep up and was content eating candy along the way. We let the boys eat whatever candy they wanted that night, and then packed most of it up the next day to be used in the bishop's office at church and for gingerbread houses in December.
